Omar Johns
As a young boy, Omar Johns always maintained a well-kept appearance and a nice, fresh cut. While trying to keep up with the latest trends, he began experimenting and cutting his friends’ and family's hair. Although he enjoyed cutting hair, he didn’t feel it was a stable career. Therefore, he explored many other careers, like behavioral health, working with at risk youth, and more. With no true satisfaction, he decided to attend Artistic Beauty Nails & Academy to master his trade. After receiving his master barbering license in 2012, he felt purposeful and connected with this occupation. He now knew the many opportunities barbering offered. Master barber, Omar Johns has over 12 years of experience in managing and operating barber shops and instructing. After years of working in the field, Omar understands the importance of networking. Not losing sight of helping those in need, Omar gives back to his community by providing free haircuts to homeless and foster kids residing in group home settings. Additionally, any opportunity he gets, he encourages young men who are in search of a path in life to take advantage of the barbering life. He truly believes barbering can change one’s life, as it did for Omar.
